How to become a taxi driver.

To start as a driver you first need to have your Full Irish Driver Licence and then follow the steps below to ensure you are eligible to drive as part of our fleet.

  1. Obtain your Tax Clearance Certificate from the Revenue Online website. Available here. If you have any issues, please ring their Dublin region line on 1890 333 425.
  2. Apply for an SPSV License. Information is obtainable on the National Transport Authority website, available here.  Alternatively, you can phone them on 0761 064 000 for assistance.
  3. Study for your SPSV License test, help available here.
  4. There are various courses available, we recommend Dave Byrne Taxi training  089 7003761 or Ronnie Duffy and quote NXT.
